A Long Weekend

It is not easy being the "big" Uncle to twin eight-month old boys -- Let me tell you!

We've been in Green Bay all weekend long visiting with my mommys' grandsons. They're cute and all, but they sure do run my ragged! I am one tired puppy.

Throw in that the twins have two lab mixes and it is just worse. Those two girls just want to go, go, go. I just want to relax and lounge around. I'm so glad to see the car being packed up so I can just get back to my quiet house!

But, the boys are cute, take a look at this:
Satchel and Alex
Danny

Well, that's all for now.

A word from Skywalker...

Man, you just would not believe the day I have had! First, I get woken up at 8AM and told to get in the car. Are we going for a long drive? No, we go to a garage! A dirty, smelly garage! We drop of Mom's car and then off we go in Mommie's car.

So, I'm thinking, this is cool, we're going someplace else. But, lo and behold! Where do we stop?

The GROOMER! There I was poked and prodded and washed. My nails are clipped. But, man, I really hate going anywhere when Mommie and Mom don't stay with me.

But, things are looking up, I heard that we're going to visit the boys this weekend! That means a whole weekend of licking Danny's face! I can't wait.

Assembly Bill 363

I know that this isn't a political site, but I thought all the Wisconsin Eskie lovers would be interested in what is happening to Assembly Bill 363. Even though American Eskimo Dogs are not one of the breeds that

Assembly Bill 363 is still sitting in the Insurance Committee. The members of the Insurance Committee are as follows:

Representative Nischke, chairperson, District 97
Representative Wieckert, vice chairperson District 57
Representative Underheim District 54
Representative Montgomery District 4
Representative McCormick District 56
Representative Gielow District 23
Representative Van Roy District 90
Representative Ballweg District 41
Representative Moulton District 68
Representative Cullen District 13
Representative J. Lehman – Introduced the Bill – District 62
Representative Staskunas District 15
Representative Berceau District 76
Representative Nelson District 5
Representative Sheridan District 44

There has been plenty of time for this bill to be sent out of the committee and sent to the full legislature for a full vote. Yet, there it sits, languishing a slow death.

I encourage all my Wisconsin readers to write the representative in whose District you live and encourage them to get this bill out of committee and on the legislative floor where it belongs. It is especially important to contact your representative if you live in Districts 57 or 97, the chairperson and vice chairpersons have the most pull on which bills will be brought forth to a vote.

Below is a copy of the email I sent Representative Nischke in hopes of receiving an answer. Feel free to copy it and send it to your representative. Also, stay tuned, as I will post whatever answer she sends me.

Dear Representative Nischke,Back on June 24, 2005, Assembly Bill 363 was sent to the Insurance Committee of which you are the chairperson. Since that time, the bill has not been updated, brought forth for a vote.I happen to be very much interested in why you have not brought this bill up for a vote and why this bill has not yet moved out of your committee and to the full legislation for a vote. Would it be possible for you to either email me back with this information or contact me via phone, so that we might open a dialogue into your reasoning for not acting on this bill?

What's an Eskie to Do?

I am at my tail's end. Both my mommies are sick and I really don't know what to do! They're coughing and sneezing, Kleenex is thrown from one side of the house to the other.

Me and my cat siblings are just sitting watching the show! We just don't know where it will end. I hope they get better soon, so they can start keeping up this blog like they should!

Skywalker's world...

I have one really, really bummed out American Eskimo Dog laying by my side. Both of his mommies are sick with a cold-flu mixture that ain't any fun AND all the snow melted -- gone!

He keeps giving me this forlorned look everytime I let him out, like, "Bring it back, Mommie, bring it back!"

I almost wish we'd get a little more snow just to make him happy, but we all have to learn to live with disappointments!
